Learning Managment Systems (Oncourse CL)
A Learning Management System (LMS) is a software package that enables the management and delivery of learning content and resources to students. Most LMS systems are web-based to facilitate "anytime, anywhere" access to learning content and administration (Wikipedia). Oncourse CL is the official learning managment system at Indiana University. Oncourse CL is the result of a joint effort by several institutions across the country - including IU, Michigan, Stanford, MIT and Berkeley - in the Sakai Project.Oncourse CL Resources:

Student Response Systems, "Clickers"
Indiana University has an agreement with Turning Technologies to facilitate the use of clickers on any IU campus. The system and software provide the ability for an instructor to ask questions and gather responses from students. Typically, an instructor poses a question or problem to the class, students enter their answers using their clickers, and the answers are summarized and displayed on the computer screen.Clickers Resources:

Plagiarism Prevention (Turnitin.com)
Turnitin.com is a web-based plagiarism detection software owned by Turnitin.com, Inc., to which IUB has a subscription. Turnitin.com can be used as a deterrent, but also as an educational tool to teach students how to work with sources and to raise awareness of paraphrasing and quoting skills.Plagiarism Prevention Resources:

Podcasting
Known by several names (e.g., coursecasting, lecturecasting, vodcasting, videocasting, screencasting), podcasting is the distribution of audio or video files, such as lectures, radio programs or instructional videos, over the internet using either RSS or Atom syndication for listening on mobile devices and personal computers [see wikipedia].Podcasting Resources at IU-Bloomington and Beyond:

iPod for Instruction (iPodagogy or Pod Pedagogy)
iPodagogy refers to utilizing the iPod for any instructional use, including but not limited to podcasting, recording lectures and field experiences, and being a portable display device through a television or video projector. This is a relatively new domain in instructional technology, therefore resource and best practices are still being explored and developed.
